  • Our experienced occupational therapist delivers fun and engaging sessions to her clients and families to support their achievement towards their goals. We deliver 1:1 sessions, peer, and group sessions.

Parent Coaching

  • Parenting is an important occupation that takes up a lot of emotional and physical time and energy. Occupational Therapy can work with you to support you balancing your everyday life and parenting responsibilities, including your relationship with your partner. OT can help build your self-care management skills, and improve your understanding of your own sensory needs, to allow you to implement the best strategies fore you to give you more energy and time to be there for your children, and achieve your life goals. Parents are important and deserve help too!

Animal Assisted OT

  • Meet Riley, our therapy animal here at NDOT. She is big but she comes with a big heart and a loving nature. Please see our specific Animal Assisted Occupational Therapy page by clicking the button below to find out more information on Animal Therapy and if it is right for you or your child. Currently there is no availability for AAT sessions. You are still welcome to enquire.

  • Animal Assisted OT $250/hour

    Pricing is different for AAOT due to the additional time, and planning required to make sure Riley’s welfare is taken care of while at work. Riley is very engaged and loves work, but needs more time to rest, go to the toilet, and get outside throughout the work day.

Developmental Education (DE)

  • Developmental Educator (DE) is an allied health profession that supports people with disability to build capacity, independence and meaningful participation in everyday life.

    Working in a neuro affirming framework, we don’t try to “fix” people, we support people to understand themselves, build capacity and create environments that work for them.

    Here at NeurodiversOTy our values, style and therapeutic approaches are very similar and quite synonymous with each other. The main difference generally is that OTs also complete AT and home modifications which is not a service we provide here. Developmental educators are ‘disability specialists’ whereas OTs work with people who have or may not have disabilities.

Circle of Security ® Parenting ™ Course

The Circle of Security ® is an evidence-based reflective model to help strengthen the relationship between parents and their children. This is designed to:

  • Help you understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs

  • Learn to support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

  • Enhance the development of their child’s self-esteem

  • Honour the innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure

  • Build a more warming and positive relationship with your child

  • Improve your skills and confidence as a parent

  • Circle of Security Parenting (COS-P) is

  • This is a great course not only to strengthen your relationship with your child, but also to help you understand and support your child’s emotional and behavioural needs.

  • The COS-P can be run 1:1 or with both parents at the same time, or as in a group with likeminded parents who are in a similar situation to you. As such we require a 30minute discussion with parents to determine which group is best suited for their needs.

    There are 8 Chapters within the course that each build upon each other, taking minimum 2 weeks per chapter. The course can range between 16-20weeks, for 90 minutes per session with 2 COSP facilitators (OTs). However, depending on each individual and group, this timeframe may take longer depending on the needs of the individuals/group.

    Group sizes are 4-8 parents. Group sessions cost is $125pp per week or $105pp if both parents attend.
